Hello everyone, I am a new member here on Shapeways and I have a quick question about materials: I wiash to know if Shapeways print in Nylon.
I saw Shapeways print in srong & Flexible material but is it Nylon as the most electrical/electronical materials?

I need to print a joystick but I wish to know if Strong & Flexible plastic is similar to the normal joystick materials

Many thanks for your kindly reply! Ciao!

The "strong&flexible" material is Nylon-12 , also called PA2200. Due to the production method the printed part will have a slightly rough and porous surface rather than the smooth and solid appearance of injection-molded plastic so you will need to paint it to keep it from getting grimy.

pla might feel more like a joystick material but the finish is going to be rough. you could sand it probably and get a fine surface
