New to the forum. I've been in drafting & engineering for about 20 years now and I'm finally getting back into model building. Looking at this to make small model parts, etc. Any recommendations on a good program? I've been using AutoCAD for years so something with a similar logic to it would be preferable - as would something INEXPENSIVE!

Hi, welcome to the forum. There are a lot of good programs out there for stuff like this now. If you're coming from AutoCad you can try Fusion 360. Blender is free and it's not too hard to use. ZBrush as a cheap low monthly subscription now and it can be used for a ton of things.

Blender is free and chock full of features - well worth the time to learn, but it does take some time.
