How to control the start view of my model?

    My new Cowboy hat, starts in wrong view, how to control that? (the default view that Shapeways use.)
    I want the hat to be like my rendered image.

    Rotate it in your software before you upload it.

    That work, but strange that it doesn't follow my own orientation.

    That's because your software (SolidWorks by any chance ?) uses the convention of Y axis being "up", while the shapeways preview thingy (and many other programs) assume Z to be the "up" direction.

    Or in my case, Shapeways shows my model as having the local (mesh) -ve Y axis as up.

    Simple solution, use your render as the default image for your model page, just make sure the image is labelled as such to avoid customer confusion.

    It,s easy to rotate the solid, no big thing.
