    Here's a little project I had fun doing. I modeled and painted it just for kicks.

    3D render :

    The 3D print (in White Strong & Flexible Polished) :

    The painted version (I wanted to have part of it made out of wraithbone; I might have gone a bit overboard, but I find it has given me ideas for other miniatures) :

    I'm a little delayed on commenting, but I have to say that is a spiffy paint job. Want to send some of your skillz my way? :D

    Thanks for the comment :).

    Paint wise :

    *) wraithbone : it's just several layers of dabbing different colors of dried paint with a scrub sponge over a brown base color;
    *) metalics : just a base color and some inks;
    *) jewels : sorry no shortcut there, you have to practice your freehands ;). I do usually find it easier to lay out the general forms and then build up the details.
