As I've said before, I rarely post here in It Arrived because StonyCantPaint (tm), but this one was too good to pass up.
Jeff King did the painting/decals on this 1:160 model of a 737 being shipped via flatcar (link), and sent me this photo.

    For reference, here's the original:

At least now we have a prototype to model when UPS dropkicks that next package.. <grin>

Yes, I had seen that "diorama option" before I posted the pictures.

Want to hear a REALLY strange one? Another one of my models for the same buyer suffered the same fate:

Methinks the NTSB is going to be looking out for what I might be modelling next. <grin>

That crumbled one can be done ... but with intensive sculpting and Sub-D modelling / retopo. A pain to finish. :))

    Smashed miniatures ?

Whoa, that detail is amazing! Fantastic paint job- I almost didn't think it was real...

    Very impressive.

Are they swimming upstream to spawn?

Hatching like dragonflies is the best explanation I have seen so far - obviously they were disturbed before unfolding their wings, or did not even manage to fully climb out of the water.
