Blender that creates only Non-manifold solids

    Hello Friends,
I'm a newbie to Blender, yesterday I had just installed it and studied something about 3D printing.

The odd things is that when I create a mesh (a solid one) and I do the non-manifold check it always says that ALL edges are non-manifold, on the sample cube too.

There is something I have misunderstood or missed?
I have tried versions 2.49 and 2.53b (both x64), but the issue persists.

    Thanks for your help.

Note: I have uploaded here a little .DAE example, an extruded triangle.

Thats odd, I imported it into Blender 2.49 (32 bit) and It was manifold and fine so maybe its a 64bit issue?

    Hi, thanks for your reply!
Strange things... yesterday it was unmanifold, today not...

Today the site permitted me to upload, very odd.
Maybe it is my system issue, I don't know and I think we'll never know why.

    Thank you very much!

    Dear friends,
    now I have another challenge.

I did a hollow solid, doing 2 composition in the same objact, one with 5 faces and tha other with 12, I have only put them togheter.

But again, the uploader tells me I have manifold error.

    Where I have did wrong?

    Thanks again!

Here you will find the solid.

    Hi,

a few pointers as I also use Blender for the few models I make:
    - use STL files, most reliable format at the moment
    - have you seen our tutorials? Specifically: this one ?

    Hi Pete,
    thanks for your reply.

The tutorial you suggested was one of the first documentation I have studied.
I did everything as stated, but this time blender does not show the non-manifold edges after selecting them using the related function.

I don't know if this could be a blender's bug.
Could you please have a check to mesh I have updated before?

Thank you, and sorry for my english!
