  1. Hello,
Is it possible to print abrasive materials such as ceramic sanding discs etc.?
    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Shapeways doesn't have anything like that that comes straight out of the printers, however, you could probably print something like that and then impregnate it with various grits to make various sanding discs in a range of grits.

Shapeways has a ceramic material, but it would definitely be too brittle to use as sanding discs of any size.

Shapeways has a plastic called metallic plastic that has particles of aluminum powder dispersed within sintered powdered Nylon 12. The aluminum would work as a mild abrasive of some unknown grit because it would form mild amounts of aluminum oxide, which is a good abrasive.

Shapeways has another composite material called steel which is composed of stainless steel powder infused with bronze. The stainless steel powder is hardened so it would be a good abrasive for anything softer than the stainless steel.
