About me: I am an electronics engineering technologist, commercial electrician and 3D design enthusiast. I wish to build up my portfolio so I am offering the chance to get your stuff designed and printed for free*

Expertise: Designing non organic shapes needing to meet specific physics restrictions(self standing, properly weighted for use as dice, ect)
Experience: Have designed over 300 fair dice designs, and several commercial products though none yet with permission to show in portfolio.
    Portfolio: http://shapeways.com/shops/propmodule
Rate: $10 minimum, $50 for CAD files(STL and STEP)**

*Free printing and design fine print:
Send me any sketches and dimensions you have that you want made into a 3D design. I will give you a quote on the cost to design. If you agree to let me place the model in my shop for sale I will give you 50% of profits until you have made back the design cost and your first print cost.

**If you do not need CAD files I will make final model available as public or private link which ever you prefer.

I would like to make a model of my house for a snowglobe. I tried sketchuo for a few hours but dont have the time at the moment and i would like to be able to print this by valentines day. I got the idea from this site,
    http://www.qarl.com/qLab/?p=77
it doesnt need to be to detailed because it will only be a few inches in size. I have multiple pictures from the perimeter of my house. I will include one so you can get an idea. Please let me know how much and and by when I could have it?
I just need this for a one time print. You can keep the design or sell it, whatever.
    Thanks for considering

If you can give me all the dimensions I can do that for $10(model) $25 if you need in colour. Fairly busy during weekdays. 1 to 3 days for model depending on how much time I get. By Sunday morning for colour.

I would like color. The opening i need to get it into has a 4 inch diameter so you can make the model 3.5 inches on its longest side and the rest can just be proportionate to the pictures. Do you have an email I can send the rest of the pictures i have?

I need a bit of expertise looking over some files. Some I have been able to clear with the repair features of Netfabb, others still read as all red but only 1 shell. I could use experienced eyes looking over them. thanks

Thanks for the reply. I know that the issue is multiple shells and zero volume listed. I am just not sure how to reduce the shell number more than I have and change the volume. I've attached one of the files as I am sure it's the same with the others.

    Hello,

Are you able to do product design for 3D printing for jewelry from illustrator files?

    Thank you,

    Nora

Would you be able to make a ring based off of this design?

    What would the pricing be?

I think you could even use it in your shop as an example--just switching the names on the sides of the heart.

    Thanks.

I can import STL files and JPG for sure. My cad software says it can import the below also.

    types.png

IGES or STP are the best formats though. These are also the formats mold makers want which I can provide from any of my drawings at a cost.

    Hello!

Im looking to make a an over sized double action out the front blade, but modified to retract and extend via a string which is pulled by a ring (much like the one in the video game series "Assassins Creed". Ive tried making one by hand, but the dimensions are near impossible to get right. There is a youtube tutorial on the "modified" DAOTF mechanism I wish to recreate.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR COSTUME PURPOSES ONLY.

here is the link to the youtube tutorial:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd-n7_X4KKQ

and i wish the casing of the mechanism to look like this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDRR-b979QA&list=UUMxTBaY HMnjb2Li4cqUdSBg&index=9&feature=plcp

and if possible, i wish the blade to be a 2 stage extension, like so:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/ammnra/6085068690/in/photostrea m

not sure how I would like dimensions...just 8.5 inches long is what is set in stone. I wish the demensions of the mechanism itself to mimic the second video.

    Many Thanks,
    -Richard

Robjames112: netfabb can probably delete the inner shell. personally i would just redraw it.
