I have been going mad trying to figure out this issue I have this file that measures X 83.2 Y 86 Z 5.69 mm however once it is uploaded the measures change to X 81.7 Y84.2 Z 57 mm or 8.17 x 8.42 x 0.57 cm please see pictures Is this just a bug or will the item print smaller than predicted ?
I have the same bug with some newly uploaded items too. The dimensions on the listing does not match with the (correct) dimensions shown on the upload page.
I noticed the same thing for something I uploaded maybe weeks ago. The product page does not match the models page and both do not seem to match the measurements in the design software. Think I'll wait until next week before doing anything.
Almost four months have passed and this bug is still not fixed. I just uploaded a new model and again the sizes in 3D tools doesn't mach with the dimensions on the shop page.The correct dimensions are 81.2 x 80 x 23.72 mm I also have a lot of items in my shop with this error. I constantly get asked by customers why the models dimensions don't match the scale i'm listing. It also happened that some customers bougth the wrong thing because of that. THIS IS A SERIOUS BUG THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY!!! Because it causes customers to buy the wrong product and then get frustrated, possibly never buying again here. Or they don't order at all, because they think i'm too stupid to calculate a scale right.
Again, i uploaded a new item (http://shpws.me/SHZV) and the shown dimensions in 3D tools and the shop page doesn't match. 66.08 x 36.96 x 12.72 is the actual design size that i've uploaded. The dimensions shown to the customers are wrong. This error has been first reported in Dec. 2020 AND STILL NO WORD FROM AN OFFICIAL! Not showing the correct sizes to your customers is an error that should be top priority, because if the printed item doesn't match the offering, the customer can call for a reprint or refund! Have you thought of that?
Now it is half a year since this bug was reported the first time and still no word from an official. Almost all newly uploaded items do show the wrong dimensions on the shop page.
It's now over a year!!! The bug still exist and no word from Shapeways about this. Does someone even read this? @MitchellJetten Hey, maybe you can direct this to the right person?
