I have been experimenting with different finishes. Mostly I end up destroying my parts - but that's all for greater good. Sometimes I manege to do something cool.

Today I tried coating some of my steel parts with "efcolor" powder. It's kind of powder coating resin, but the finish looks much like glass enamel. I skipped all the advice and just put the models on top of paper sheet, then sprinkled the powder directly from the can on top of them, and moved them on tin-foil covered dining plate. Then I moved the plate to normal oven, which was heated to 150 degrees Celsius. It took about 15 min for the powder to melt. Then I repeated the treatment. All other parts got really ugly, but this flat design (http://shpws.me/M0Ff) actually turned out quite cool.
