Hey there, I get an error whne I try to upload an OBJ file. it's uploads to 100% ,thinks for a while, then says there was an error on your end, your meaning shapeways, like in the image below. Can someone confirm that file upload is or isn't working?
Hmm we should change the text, cause we are not "on it". The model failed. Would you be able to email it to service@shapeways.com Cause it looks like something is wrong with the model, causing it to fail.
The size limit is only for the upload as far as I know, so just uploading as a zip archive should be sufficient (unless the file size comes from too many triangles - but obj may contain normals and other data that should not matter). Btw if you want to print a colored/textured model you will need to use dae or wrl/x3d format as shapeways does not support texture information in obj files. Unfortunately all that information is available only when you use the "old" upload dialog (the big blue UPLOAD button) rather than the newish drag-and-drop field in the "My models" view.
