Your Opinion On A Single 3d Object

  1. Hi all,

I've never printed a 3d object in my life, but I have some experience in 3D modelling.
I've decided to print my 1st object and gift it to my brother.
I've attached a sample of the 3d object to this thread.

    Ok my questions are simple:
    • What kind of material should I use?
    • I think that 5cm should be good. Is it too small? too big for a 3d object?
    • Will the textures/colours be printed with the model as well? or will I have to paint above it?
    • I live in the Netherlands. How many days will it cost for it to arrive at my door if I use shapeways?
    • Is the shapways editor a good tool to use as a reference ?

Thank you for your attention :)
