Last year each FXD tire print came out perfect with the smooth, most detailled side on front of the tire.
This year each FXD order goes wrong where the front of my tires are printed on the grainy (bottom) side .
This sucks bigtime because for reproduction of rubber tires in 1/25 and 1/12 scale I need the smoothest and most detailled 3D print possible and as most of you know only the top side gives this finish.
If I'm going to have photo's printed and pick the highest quality printing paper I do not expect them to print my pictures on the papers backside.
I pay for the best 3D print possible. Looking at this fairly simple part this shouldn't be a challange for Shapeways.
In earlier situations Shapeways Eindhoven was fair enough to reprint the part or refund my money untill last time where it was printed the wrong way up twice in a row even though I notified them and wrote a note in capitol letters in the file name which apparantly they don't give a toss about.
Again they promised me to refund and reprint the parts with the right side up which sounded fair enough even though a month and half passed.
I ordered my parts again but after I paid for it and for unclear reasons they decided to withdraw the refund.
So after two months of waiting I ended up paying 130 euro's for two 1/25 scale and one 1/12 scale tires.
Thanks Shapeways.
Airbrushed FXD tires. The tires back shows an excellent finish compared to the front of the tire.
