If I am not mistaken, the application lets you choose the width of your model - if it is not square or round the height will depend on the aspect ratio of the image you uploaded. You will find the final dimensions in both metric and imperial units on the page of the finished model where you will also get a SCALE button that lets you resize the part as necessary. (If it is simply a math question of what to enter in the scale tool, dividing the desired size by the size you currently have should get you there, i.e. to get from 3in to 5in scale by 5/3 which is 1.66 or 166 percent.)
The scale tool lets you enter a scale factor , or enter the desired length whichever you prefer. It will even let you select between mm,cm,m or in for absolute values. You'll find it on the model page - "create your pendant" should take you there, or if you already created models, you can pick them from the overview page under "Models" in the dropdown menu under your username in the top right of the webpage. On the model page, "SCALE" is right next to the size information under the model name, to the left of the preview image.
Ok here is an image that can give me a clearer picture of your explanation. And how again would I input 5 in 3 in
If you can't do it with that pendant app perhaps I can whip you up a belt buckle real quick. It would only take about two minutes to do in the software I use. Did you want it in a metal? How were you planning to connect it to a belt?
I use SpaceClaim and Zbrush mainly, but I use all kinds of software in subtle ways. For that I would use Zbrush. It has a button that makes something like your image into a 3D object nearly instantly. Edit: I meant to type Zbrush. My capital Z is not working.
Well it's really simple. I used it from my image and I was able to make it the right size from the shapeways software. This is an image
Oh! You got it! Pretty good! How do you connect a belt to that? Yeah, I can make you one too, but it'll be basically the same as what you have. Were there modifications you needed? I'm about to go to sleep now, but I'll be back tomorrow.
Well I have the connection down. I just need the script piece. Here's the file I used to make it. And thanks a lot for helping me out
