Ring Solitaire
HenryAlfredo @comeonovercn Thank you for the appreciation :) Normally a stone has a seat which already fixes the stone on two axes, and one can secure the stone by folding back the end of the prongs. With this design the seat changes since it's part of the prongs, so i had to keep the stone in place, whilst tightening each prong slightly one after the other. This process took me a long time. The 3.18ct morganite stone set on the photographed ring is 9.2 x 9.2 x 6.0mm (wbh) which proved to be too big. The concept is that when viewed from the front the prongs form a heartshape. Because my used stone is too big this is not visible. I've estimated that a stone of approximately 8.2 x 8.2 x 5.0 mm (wbh) is a much better fit for this ring and should show off the heartshape more clearly. So in short, it's a challenge to keep the design symmetrical whilst securing the stone, and i do not recommend trying it without prior experience, but it is possible to do. You can try to set the stone yourself, you can ask your local jeweler, or i can do it for you. I'm more than happy to help you out if you have any more questions or requests, like offering a fitting ring size.
