SethNeumann @Themikepeng Mike, no something they just announced last week. They also said it took paint better, the idea I got from it was detail = to FUD but not jaggies which would be fine. By the way, I just need to work out a better way to apply window decals and the Corollas and Tacomas will be ready to go (many distractions along the way). I'd like to order more of both in this new material because surfacing and painting was a real PITA even in FUD. I personally had good luck with FXD on some of my parts but it is pricey for something the size of a car and I need at least another 2 5-packs of each.

SethNeumann Mike: have you tried the new material (forgot its name) with less jaggies?

SethNeumann @train_guy the 603 LEDs will work in either fixture. I usually prime, the paint the inside with a metallic paint (alumininum or silver) and then paint the outside, usually a brown oxide color or white (seem to be the most popular). Once everything is dry I use CA to attach the LED. LEDBaron on eBay sells LEDs with magnet wire leads,

SethNeumann @baztrains Keep up the great work. These are far better than anything we've had in the past! Given the number of building materials and quarry industry structures available from the larger hobby manufacturers, especially Walthers here in the US, there is a huge need for modern vehicles to serve them.

SethNeumann These are Shorty Dry Bulk Trailer 07 being prepped for painting with model master stainless steel. I've sprayed them with MR Surfacer 1000 and sanded. They will need another round, but they are starting to look very good. I opened up the holes in the walkways with a #65 drill. I found that a "fine" flexible sanding sponge from the paint department works well for a first pass on the body. The only concern so far is that one of the dollies came with no towing ring and the other ring broke off as I reamed it out with progressively larger drills (broke at about #52) so it would hook on the hook on the 1st trailer. Next time I'll remove the printed on hook and replace it with 0.015 brass wire. I think I'll fabricate new rings from 0.015 brass wire. Anyone have a technique for sanding the bottoms of the hoppers? Given the amount of handling -- and risk of breakage of the finer details -- I'd like the option to just buy the trailer body and frame and use walkways from Plano or some similar supplier (maybe BAZ can arrange someone to etch the walkways) and use wheels from one of the usual truck suppliers.
