BackBone: Three Position Garmin Mount
ogeecrew If I do the math, it would seem you have 3.5 mm of free surface on either side of the stem for a mount. The straps on the ogee mounts are generally about 9 mm wide and slightly wider where they blend into the arms. I can not recommend ogee mounts for this application. Good luck in your search.
ogeecrew @chris_burnell Hi Chris, Sorry for the late reply. Needed to do a little research... The BackBone was designed before the introduction of the Edge 1000, but it appears to just fit (see attached image). The limiting factor would be the thickness of the stem's faceplate. I was not able to find actual outside dimensions of the unit, but scaling from images usually gives me a close approximation. I've included dimensions (millimeters) in the image to compare my estimated size to the actual dimensions (assuming you have a unit to measure)...I have actually attached the Edge 1000 to a BackBone and it had plenty of clearance to the arms, although the mount was not attached to a handlebar at the time. I would not recommend the landscape orientation. It should hold, but will not be "locked". Thanks for the questions.

RaceBone: Garmin Handlebar Mount
ogeecrew @engsmart RaceBone 2 is available now... check it out.
ogeecrew @natefontaine No, It has similar geometry to the RaceBone. However, when we reconfigure the RaceBone to be wider, we'll add the over and under mount geometry as well.
ogeecrew @natefontaine We are considering offering a RaceBone Wide option, check the Ogee Shop in two weeks for a Beta version. Thanks, ogeecrew
ogeecrew @natefontaine 55mm would be just outside the "flex" available in a racebone. We would not recommend the racebone for this application. Thanks, oggecrew
LazyBone: Stem Cap Mount for Garmin Edge
ogeecrew @davide6 We initially designed the LazyBone with a integrated stem-cap, but discovered that the nylon material deforms over time, when put under constant stress (which is the nature of the stem-cap function). If Shapeways offers aluminum in the future, we would bring the integrated cap design back. Thanks for the question.

ogeecrew @fyberglass Correct, the interconnect on the backbone is the same top and bottom.
ogeecrew @fyberglass Either Backbone!
