nocturne Curious-- is it possible to print the full-sized 12cm Rajina (/bio/rajina/ from your website) this way? I am curious what it might look like in either brass or silver.

nocturne Do you think this would be printable in the metals? Particularly bronze-hued steel?

Double Zarf
nocturne I am very pleased with this sculpture. It is one of the best I have seen on Shapeways and it prints quite nicely in bronze-hued steel. Even the fine details near the tips of the structure come out cleanly. Note that the surface appears finely speckled, almost as though it had been sand-cast-- it is not quite as smooth as the render (I actually like it better this way). See photo attached for texture, though note the greyish hue is due solely to my camera's poor white balance; the hue in reality is more similar to that of the render, if perhaps a bit darker. I view it as emblematic of recent advances in precision manufacturing technology, and symbolic of an unstable and uncertain future. But meaning can be so subjective.
