Imperial shuttle cockpit.
mburkey Thanks for your reply. To follow up, I was fitting it wrong. If you mount it from the inside, it leaves a 'step' down from the surrounding nose as shown in photos of the studio miniature. One of the nice features is the inner bracing to keep the walls of the nose from sagging or collapsing. If I were to recommend anything, it would be to add the panel scribing in front and behind the windscreen. The nylon material doesn't take a clean scribe like the way injection plastic does. Hope to add a photo soon.
mburkey Got this today. Beautiful work. But the cockpit 'window' piece is about 1 1/4 inches deep and the opening is about 1 1/16 inches deep. It's not close to fitting. I tried to fit it in from the outside. It will fit sort of from the inside, but it doesn't fit smoothly with the rest of the fuselage. Is that how it's supposed to fit?

mburkey For those interested, these are in scale with the Hawk Convair Atlas Space Station/MOL injection molded kit released in 1960 and again in 1968. Link to some info: http://www.fantastic-plastic.com/CONVAIR%20ATLAS%20MOL%20PAGE.htm
