I studied film at SUNY Buffalo. My main teacher was Tony Conrad. Then several years of showing art films in places like the Collective, Artists Space and working in theatre with Soho Rep and Mabou Mines. And a bunch of years showing photography. I think it was 3 photos that ended up in the Houston Museum with the Alan Chasanoff collection. Lots of computer stuff. I later attended School of Visual Arts in Illustration. Marvin Mattelson, a portrait painter, was my main teacher there. Recently I’ve been studying jewelry online with Tomas Wittelsbach. In my spare time I work in film doing motion graphics and on set playback.
I model my sculptures or jewelry mainly in ZBrush, I gives me flexibility and an organic way of working. I enjoy making things for others. I like taking their requests and turning them into something they didn’t imagine. My work is detailed, and stays true to the design.
