Aircraft crew boarding platform
Herk @Keymaker One other thought - take the measurement from the "ground" to the top of the wind screen on the pilot's compartment and convert according to model scale. This height is the level at which the platform is located - you should be able to make al other height and size conversions from this figure. Regards
Herk @Keymaker Here one other photo I found - figure the aircrew between 5 1/2 & 6 ft tall. Hopefully this will help in scaling the boarding stairs. Regards

Herk @Keymaker This is a crew boarding ladder/platform for a B-58 hustler. The platform section of the ladder was at the level of the open crew position hatches. Attached is a photo of the Hustlers at I think Carswell AFB, TX (note the flatness of the area). Also attached are more close ups of the platforms and the A/C. Statistics for the Hustler are: Length: 96 ft 10 in[66] (29.5 m) Wingspan: 56 ft 9 in[66] (17.3 m) Height: 29 ft 11 in (8.9 m) Hope these help. Regards, Steve Payne, USAF Ret IPMS 47035 P.S - Will have to send boarding ladder photos as separate messages.
