POTP Volcanicus Thigh Armor - Left
fjschuler @formlessdraon27 Thank you very much! There will be some additional Volcanicus upgrades in the near future!
Power of the Primes Volcanicus Chestplate
fjschuler @Awdry1911 I would recommend using Testors acryl or Tamiya acrylic paints! I use Testors myself almost exclusively.
fjschuler @rpikula You won't need to glue anything on the Shapeways version (it is produced by Shapeways in a single piece). The gluing I mentioned in the YouTube video only applies if you print it yourself on a standard 3D printer.
fjschuler @rapierdragon Sounds like a good plan...looking forward to the pictures. If those markers you are using are solvent-based (if they are pretty smelly, then they are solvent-based) then using a wash with Future floor polish shouldn't harm the paint. But definitely do a test on a piece of scrap plastic. If you've never done a wash before, you'll also want to test it to make sure you have the proper amount of tint in the wash. Too much and it will darken the part too much...too little and you won't get much effect at all. Keep me posted!
fjschuler @rapierdragon I am so happy you are satisfied with the design of that piece. Which material did you select? How do you like the surface finish? Please post a picture of it after you get it painted...I would love to see it. Thanks again for your purchase and for your faith in my design!!
fjschuler @Hairytoe100 You are welcome. And by all means, if you can think of some handy alternate use for this part, please let me know. I wouldn't be against the idea of modifying the design to incorporate some additional functionality. I actually think that would be a good idea.
fjschuler @Hairytoe100 Well, I suppose you could place it gently on your trophy shelf and admire its beauty! I'm kidding. There is no alternate use for this part...the only purposes it serves are to fill out the chest and support the arms in the combined mode.
