MOW Truck 1-87 HO Scale (Stationary)
expatguild I have an old electric toothbrush, very fine (1200) paper glued to the bristles to give it a light sand.
expatguild Thanks, Ill just go ahead then. I used wasbenzine which is, I think, benzole in English. Ian
expatguild Hi. All four side of the boxes remain translucent. I as worried about the possibility of the paint not adhering properly unless this was addresed. Access was purely to allo the solvent to get to the insides
expatguild hi, not the best photo but you can see that despite soaking for 48 hours the side equipment boxes remain translucent.Wax was the wrong word to use. I mean the almost greasy layer that remains on the model after printing. unless completely removed the paint won't adhere and I'm worried that down the line it will flake off. If the equipment boxes were open to the cabin this would be solved and a bit less material used.. It's rather an awkward angle to drill into regards Ian
expatguild FWIW, now the third attempt to clear the wax from the model. The problem is the equipment bays on the side are sealed so remain untouched. Going to drill a couple of holes in the underside, however if the boxes were left open to the cab there would be no problem.
