Evolv DNA200 Case with Buttons
dsidab81 @windxrunner I did the same, eventually to both +/- buttons. A slight sanding on the side helped with them catching also. To be expected with a print i'm guessing. I was hopeful to fit an xt30 connector, but ended up scrapping that and directly soldering the fullymax battery. BTW it looks like both protovapor and evolv selling that battery directly now - for $19.99 - $5.00 cheaper than when I got mine.
dsidab81 @logan275 that should work - i may be doing the same after backing out my board screws again to file the + / - buttons a bit more. Hopefully the standoffs hold up! Good luck with your mod
dsidab81 @logan275 I didn't find this website before ordering my screws but you can get specific plastic thread m1.6 x 4mm. These look to be wider thread forming screws and should work just fine. https://us.screwerk.com/shop/detail/stp/STP390160040E.html There may be enough plastic left on the standoff to try an m1.8 but I doubt that will fit through the dna200 screw holes
dsidab81 also i should add, different colors or materials have quite different shipping times. I ordered orange additional buttons which have a longer turn time than black or white plastic - shapeways will hold the whole order. White plastic states 6 days production, black 8 days, other colors are 10. Mine still shipped around 4 business days quicker than quoted.
dsidab81 Securing the board with m1.6 x 4mm machine thread screws worked just fine. I'd caution to stop screwing once board is secured - fine machine thread will bore out the material if continually tightened. One question for those of you that have assembled, using the fullymax battery - anyone having an issue with board pressure locking the + button on? I'm thinking to either file that button height down or to put a spacer under board screw hole on that side.
