1/100 Sat V 1st Stage fairing-correct scale
ccorway The 1/100 Saturn V can fly with scale fins as long as the loaded center of gravity is at least a certain distance from the base. I'll have to do some digging up of some data from John Pursley's Saturn V scale articles of the Saturn V from the old American Spacemodeling (AmSpam) magazine. Even then, I would avoid flying it on anything but a calm day.

Redstone Booster Fin Unit ST-20 for 18mm motors
ccorway For those breaking out their rulers and tape measures, you'll need to cut out 3-11/16" (3.6875" for those who prefer digital measurements) from the end of the ST-20 tube. The military post office gorillas crushed one end of the ST-20 body tube, but I should be able to cut most of it off. Then fill in the imperfections with plenty of filler.
ccorway Got the part in the mail and it arrived in perfect condition, considering the mail-sorting gorillas at the APO processing facility at Travis AFB and at Honolulu (Hickam AFB) are notorious for using 'FRAGILE' labeled packages as footballs. I'll go with the longer motor tube as well, even though it will never fly. Any takers on creating a 3D-printed display insert of the Redstone's 'famous' graphite vanes? Definitely would enhance the look for a display.

Delta II Rocket Eng Base 1:48
ccorway Is this for the Castor IV-A/GEM-40 (40.1" dia.) or the GEM-46 (46" dia) boosters? Or is it 'fudged' to fit a standard tube (plastic or paper)?
