bobsbackshop @kingj63 Thanks for the fast reply and the answer is exactly what I was looking for. I have a 40-2 here but I don't think even milling the top of the frame down to the level of the light board is enough to fit the new shell. I believe you would have to be about 1/16" or more below the level of the lightboard to even be close to a fit. I'll search for a 40/45 on epray to keep the costs down. Did you get the blue colored decals for the side block lettering from Microscale? BTW, you did a very nice job on painting and detailing the unit, looks like a lot of work involved. The results are spectacular though and you have a nearly one of a kind model. Well done!!!
bobsbackshop @kingj63 Hi, Could you use a Kato SD40-2 chassis for this build. I am assuming the 40-2 would be a longer chassis than the SD40/45. Thanks.
