Dark Souls Ornstein Printable
anotherrandomguy I'd like to come back to my previous comment, I actually went and printed the thing at a local 3D printing hub called fablab. You can see the result on their website or on my portfolio if you want to read up on the process in english! There were a couple of issues with the 3D file that could be adressed, namely one of the holes in the feet isn't deep enough for the peg! for some reason the pegs are both the same height, but the holes aren't. another issue I've had was the lack of space between the square peg on the torso and the hole for it. I had to sand it down considerably to get it to fit. I believe this may have been partly due to the printing process though. another issue I worked around was the fact the spear doesn't actually fit in the hand, the bulge where the two ends connect is too thick! I had to cut off a thinner part of the spear and glue it back on later. And one last issue, the cutoff point in the middle of the torso isn't great, I had to fill the seam with lots of glue, sand that down a bit and paint over it. could be fixed if the cutoff was in a more inconspicuous place like between the chest plate and the leg plates, as there is a natural seam there. Other than that, I had a great time printing and painting this thing! Sorry for the long post, and I hope my feedback is useful in some way! :D
anotherrandomguy God I want this thing! I am trying to open the stl file in 3ds max to see if I can somehow hollow it out(get it? :P) to save some material costs, but for some reason it freezes my 3ds max. I can open it in 3D Builder, but I'm not sure I can edit it with that like I would want to...maybe I'll look up some docs on that program :O
