First, temp control isn't power hungry, in fact it saves battery life. Say you set your mod @ 75watt or joules & 400degF your mod will fire @ 75watt until it reaches 400deg then will drop the wattage to whatever it needs to in order to keep your coil at 400deg in comparison to wattage mode that would continually fire @ 75watts.
Second the Samsung 30q isn't really the best battery to be vaping with, as per the datasheet it has a max discharge of 15A @ Capacity after 250cycles ≥ 1,800mAh (60% of the nominal capacity)
250 cycles is incredibly low for today's standard of recently released batteries.
Say you have a evic mini single battery 75watt mod with a 0.3ohm coil @ 67.5watts you'll be at 4.5v and already pulling the 30q's maximum of 15A, so now you max out the mod at 75watts and your well over the safe limit and in risk of venting. Good rule of thumb is give yourself headroom and not to use anything less than a 20A battery but best to use a 30A and keep things safe.
