Panels will<br \/>\nintroduce the 3D printing community to the DC policy community, and<br \/>\nexplore some of the policy issues that this disruptive technology will<br \/>\nimplicate.<\/i> <\/p>\n<p>Organized by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicknowledge.org\" target=\"_blank\">Public Knowledge<\/a>, the good people behind the white paper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/archives\/639-It-Will-Be-Awesome-if-They-Dont-Screw-it-Up-3D-Printing,-Intellectual-Property,-and-the-Fight-Over-the-Next-Great-Disruptive-Technology.html\" target=\"_blank\">It Will Be Awesome If They Don&#8217;t Screw It Up<\/a>, the event is a positive step towards letting policy makers know what 3D printing means, and how not to screw it up.<\/p>\n<p>Shapeways will be explaining the awesome things that are being made by the Shapeways community and the potential empowerment for individuals to have access to tools of production.
