We will be talking about this more in the very near future, and will be implementing functionality to give you the option to apply <a href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/\" target=\"_blank\">creative commons licenses<\/a> to any files you make <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/themes\/3dparts\" target=\"_blank\">available for download<\/a> on Shapeways. Until then, take a look at Open Attribute to help you ensure you do not inadvertently step on anyone&#8217;s digital toes.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;That&rsquo;s why we&rsquo;re building <a href=\"http:\/\/openattribute.com\" target=\"_blank\">Open Attribute<\/a>, a suite of tools that makes it ridiculously simple for anyone to copy and paste the correct attribution for any CC licensed work. These tools will query the metadata around a CC-licensed object and produce a properly formatted attribution that users can copy and paste wherever they need to.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><!-- s9ymdb:3719 --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2799490154_e6727d39a22.jpg\" style=\"border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Open Attribute is at the early stages and it looks like they will be broadening their range off tools, it would be great to see them include the option to add the icon for the license used along with the attribution and location.&nbsp;
