Upon entering the shop, I was familiar with most of the designs. Constructions of paper, metal wire and light performing a spectacle of well balanced compositions. Yet, some new favorites (such as his <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.architonic.com\/pmsht\/led-table-limited-production-ingo-maurer\/1067992\">LED table<\/a>) suggest Maurer&rsquo;s playfulness with technology.<\/p>\n<p>In the basement den of lamps, amongst the array of creations, was <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.architonic.com\/pmsht\/swingading-ingo-maurer\/1068358\">Swingading<\/a> (above). Seemly fitting to Maurer&rsquo;s works of paper, Swingading was 3D printed! Well at least the shade and tip.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><!-- s9ymdb:3476 --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" style=\"border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/2011-01-15_17-28-25_5412.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Maurer&rsquo;s methodology to the capabilities of the 3D printed production results into a simple twist. Sensibly as if paper, the 3D printed object appropriately adds rigidity and endurance to the form. The connection interlocks into place as the light glows throughout the transparent attachment.<\/p>\n<p><!-- s9ymdb:3494 --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" style=\"border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/2011-01-15_17-29-26_712.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Another lamp with 3D printed parts, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.architonic.com\/pmsht\/prototype-ingo-maurer\/1005242\">Prototype Lamp<\/a>, lives up to its name. It reminds me very much of the KunstHalle Graz.
