Material can be cut, drilled, bored, milled, chipped, or melted away depending on the desired results and the technology being used. The tasks delivered to the machines can be given manually, but lately CNC has mostly taken on that job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EDM is a manufacturing method in which thermal\nenergy is used to remove material. An electrode emits an electrical discharge\nthat erodes conductive material and is typically used with metals like titanium\nor steel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Laser Cutting<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This method uses the output of a high powered\nlaser to vaporize, melt, burn or slice materials until they reach their desired\nshape.
