Because the Traxxas Defender is a relatively new release, we were thrilled to see that a number of designers on our platform had already 3D modeled parts for the build.<\/p>\n<p class=\"video-responsive\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZGkqqa2P0TI\" width=\"100%\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We ordered door handles, a fuel cap, and hood vents from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/shops\/knightcustoms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Knight Customs<\/a> to start since they\u2019re the perfect replacements for the stickers that come on the stock body. Because I\u2019m relatively new to the hobby, I decided to fit the fuel cap and the hood vents from the outside. As I&#8217;ll cover in my next <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/archives\/tag\/out-of-shape\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Out Of Shape<\/em><\/a> column, I decided to test my 3D modeling skills on a custom license plate.
