Mike Lohmann, better known at TamiyaClub as <a href=\"https:\/\/tamiyaclub.com\/member.asp?id=597\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ihaveabruiser<\/a>, made a <a href=\"https:\/\/tamiyaclub.com\/showroom_model.asp?cid=131020&amp;id=597\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">model of Marty McFly\u2019s Toyota SR5<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of &#8220;Back to the Future,\u201d the off-road-ready 4&#215;4 was just a fantasy for Marty. As his adventures in the past end up affecting the present, however, he changes his family&#8217;s fortunes. Marty&#8217;s father becomes a famous author; Biff ends up working for the McFlys: and Marty&#8217;s dream truck is sitting in the garage, waiting for his &#8220;camping trip&#8221; with Jennifer.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position: relative; height: 0; padding-bottom: 56.25%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"position: absolute; width: 100%; height: 100%; left: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VO4ebmJHFF0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Turns out that Mike has been collecting and making RC cars since he was 9. He used pieces from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/shops\/bowhouse-rc?li=pb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BowHouse RC<\/a>, purveyors of all kinds of cool RC car parts. They provided the battery case and chassis-mounted steering system, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/shops\/rc_nerds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RC Nerds<\/a> made the door panels, windshield wipers, taillight assemblies, and the ridiculously detailed dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve had nothing but great results with Shapeways,&#8221; he says. &#8220;The printing quality is very very good and the print and shipping time is great as well.
