Karlijn has a mission: to create a different perspective on our consumer society. So, this\u00a0September, she&#8217;ll start a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.karlijnpostma.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">12-month-long trip through Europe<\/a> with her mobile maker space, the Creative Roadtrip Campervan. But, she&#8217;s not quite ready to hit the road yet, and she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voordekunst.nl\/projecten\/5422-creative-roadtrip-1\" target=\"_blank\">needs our (community&#8217;s) help<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Meet Karlijn:<\/h3>\n<div style=\"position: relative; height: 0; padding-bottom: 56.25%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xbuWS0Gqa1U\" width=\"100%\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h3>Her Vision<\/h3>\n<p>Karlijn believes that our consumption-driven society can change if people simply get involved in the manufacturing process of the products they\u00a0use. Let&#8217;s be honest; if you work hard on making something good and useful, it&#8217;s very unlikely that you&#8217;ll throw it away. As she crosses Europe, every month she&#8217;ll drive to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.karlijnpostma.com\/dates.html\" target=\"_blank\">a different city<\/a> where she&#8217;ll host workshops teaching\u00a03D design and\u00a0printing, silkscreening, and ceramics \u2014 all methods for easily creating customized objects you use in daily life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30884\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/CR-Journey-e1493743629835.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"621\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Join the Journey<\/h3>\n<p>Karlijn is inviting people to join her as she crosses Europe (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.karlijnpostma.com\/prices.html\" target=\"_blank\">find out more here<\/a>), and if you happen to be near one of her stops, she&#8217;ll be hosting a Shapeways Meetup in every city she visits. She&#8217;ll drive to Nantes, Bilbao, Porto, Lisbon, Malaga, Valencia, Napels, Bologna, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo, ending her journey in Bergen, Norway.
