Make sure to visit us in person if you\u2019re in Eindhoven this week, and follow us here, on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/shapeways\/\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/shapeways\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>, and on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Shapeways\/?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0for live updates from #DDW16.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Architect Eva Poulopoulou, the designer behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/shops\/eva_poulopoulou\" target=\"_blank\">PULU<\/a>, began her career in digital arts and 3D animation. With a background that includes building both real-life structures and virtual worlds, it only makes sense that her designs display the influence of digital design on functional objects.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.shapeways.com\/fragments\/product?spin=XAYE8AZWR\" height=\"652\" width=\"100%\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>The best expression of her design ethos may be her striking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/product\/XAYE8AZWR\/pineapple-lamp?optionId=40264261\">Pineapple Lamp<\/a>, a hit at this year\u2019s Shapeways EXPO at Dutch Design Week. Digital modeling allows her to create a shape that appears delicate, almost paper-like &#8212; but has surprising strength.
