Many of her playful, stylish pieces might never have existed without 3D printing. Like her Russian doll-inspired Wireframe Heart pendants and earrings, which feature an open geodesic heart enclosing a smaller, solid faceted heart. With traditional manufacturing, creating such an object-within-an-object would be almost impossible. With 3D printing, the entire piece is created in a single print.<\/p>\n<p>In Ruiter\u2019s Heart Facet pieces, the heart becomes solid, its geometry at the forefront. The timeless symbol of love meets design\u2019s cutting edge.
