All Aboard, Savannah here, coming to you from the observation car of #AmtrakLIVE, the SXSW rail journey from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas. We are halfway through our 35 hour ride to the South by Southwest Interactive festival and guerrilla 3D Selfie scanning around town. The digital influencers aboard have been documenting the whole experience, including many of the designs by our Shop Owners! Special thanks to everyone who sent products along for the ride. <\/p>\n

Long distance train travel is often forgotten about, but I can tell you after 17.5 hours on the Texas Eagle, it’s worth remembering. We have a very vibrant model train community here on Shapeways and it’s all the more clear to me now where the passion for locomotives comes from.<\/p>\n
