Where are you located?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I live in Urretxu, Basque Country, Spain and I do painting, 3D content and videogames, sculpting and photography.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>What&#8217;s the story behind your designs? What inspires you?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As a 3D artist, the posibility to make real a 3D design is awesome. In all my creative work as an artist, nature is always present, in all her forms. I love nature and mountains. Where I live, in the Basque country of Spain, we are &nbsp;surrounded&nbsp;<span>by mountains, and some of my models in shapeways are these emblematic mountains&nbsp;<\/span><span>of my natural environment.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span><a href=\"\/model\/804790\/monte-cervino-matterhorn-mountain-02.html?li=productBox-search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/cervino.jpg\"><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><em>What brought you to 3D printing with Shapeways?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>At first, I just wanted to see in the real world some of my 3D designs, and later&nbsp;<span>I realized that I could make some money with my 3D modeling skills&#8230;life as an artist is limited in resources like money sometimes.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em>How did you learn how to design in 3D?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><\/em><span>First I learned the basics in the University of Fine Arts, and later, I taught myself with internet tutorials. I discovered the awesome software BLENDER 3D, and I have not stopped working since!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"\/model\/793893\/monte-irimo.html?li=productBox-search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/irmo.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><em>How do you promote your work?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidelguea.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>, and I have exhibited my artistic works in museums, art galleries and film festivals.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em>Who are your favorite designers or artists? Who in the Shapeways community has served as an inspiration to you?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span>I love the world of fractals and mathemathical designs so I like the designers <\/span><a href=\"\/shops\/bathsheba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bathsheba<\/a><span>, <\/span><a href=\"\/shops\/virtox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Virtox<\/a><span> and <\/span><a href=\"\/shops\/shhark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joshua Harker<\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"\/model\/785575\/midi-d-ossau-9-cm-b.html?li=productBox-search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/midi.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><em>If you weren&#8217;t limited by current technologies, what would you want to make using 3D printing?<\/em><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>I would like to do better full color designs in others materials besides sandstone.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Check out David&#8217;s landscapes in his <a href=\"\/shops\/davidelgea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shapeways Shop<\/a>, or his other work on his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidelguea.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>.
