What inspires you?<\/em><\/span>&#8220;&gt;<span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>My designs are about exploring form making through digital means. I&#8217;m really interested in creating something I wouldn&#8217;t be able to make by hand. Often times I look to nature, mathematics, and personal experiences for ideas that are engaging, complex and versatile.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span><a href=\"\/model\/237597\/growth-pattern-usb-drive.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/x_usb.jpg\"><\/a> <\/span>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>What brought you to 3D printing with Shapeways?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It was the chance to actually hold my work in my hands, as well as share it with others. I really enjoy that Shapeways gives me the ability to connect with others to share ideas.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>How did you learn how to design in 3D?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I started learning 3D modeling in school and very quickly it became my passion so I taught myself more advanced digital design techniques. I mainly use Grasshopper (a parametric modeling plug-in for Rhino) and Python scripting to generate objects. I&#8217;m always learning new techniques and will continue to create more objects in the future.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>How do you promote your work?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As a designer, I get the chance to talk about my work with many people in my day to day life. I do wear a 3D printed ring and am often asked where I got it, which is also helpful. Shapeways and the internet have helped me greatly in promoting my work as well.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"\/model\/237637\/mobius-tori.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/x_mobius.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div><em>Who are your favorite designers or artists?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Neri Oxman, Daniel Widrig, and Wolf Prix. In the Shapeways community, <a href=\"\/shops\/bathsheba\" target=\"_blank\">Bathsheba Grossman<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"\/shops\/nervous\" target=\"_blank\">Nervous System<\/a>&nbsp;and Studio Greenan.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>If you weren&#8217;t limited by current technologies, what would you want to make using 3D printing?<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The list is endless but amongst the top three, I would like to make custom fitting clothing and footwear, furniture, modular structures, and building interiors.
