Think of it as the next generation of our <a href=\"\/creator\/2d_to_3d\/\" target=\"_blank\">2D to 3D<\/a>. We&#8217;ve gotten<br \/>\nthe software far enough along that we&#8217;re ready to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meetup.com\/Shapeways\/events\/98594252\/\" target=\"_blank\">show off to a larger<br \/>\ngroup<\/a>. After your feedback we&#8217;ll fix it up and then release it as <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Open_source_software\" target=\"_blank\">open<br \/>\nsource software<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!-- s9ymdb:32997 --><a href=\"http:\/\/www.meetup.com\/Shapeways\/events\/98594252\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"serendipity_image_center\" width=\"484\" height=\"239\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/ScreenShot2013-01-14at10.35.01AM.png\"><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve got an interest in 3D printing and can wrangle a 2D image<br \/>\nthen we&#8217;ve got something for you to try! <\/p>\n<p>On <strong>January 15th at 7pm at<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/officenomads.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Office Nomads<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;in Seattle we&#8217;ll be letting you play with the software, have some<br \/>\ndrinks and discuss 3D printing.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to run the software during the session then please<br \/>\nbring a laptop and some image software. We&#8217;ve been working with<br \/>\nIllustrator, Photoshop, Inkscape and Gimp so far. The software takes in<br \/>\nJPEG or PNG images.
