Today is National Manufacturing Day<\/a> in the United States. The day was created to address common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers (like Shapeways) an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is \u2014 and what it isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Our Vice President of Manufacturing\u00a0David wrote in detail about\u00a0how Shapeways is tackling challenges to manufacturing in the 3D printing industry<\/a>\u00a0and our CEO\u00a0Pete spent a great deal of time explaining what we’ve learned about manufacturing with 3D printing over the last six years\u00a0in his series of blog posts<\/a>.<\/p>\n
