The work is focused on the development of a system for generating material volume from streaming data. The creators state: &#8220;This system of fabrication relies upon native real-time feed-back and feed-forward mechanisms, and is therefore interruptible and corruptible at any time. The streaming data input may be transformed or modified at any time, and such&#8221; interventions impact emerging downstream geometry.&#8221; &nbsp;<\/font><\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shapeways.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/979880741_GehryWinners_03_tcm48-1543881.jpg\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">The layers are approx 3.5mm&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">thick, cured in about 90-180 seconds slowing to as much as 500+ seconds as the build progresses<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">&nbsp;(maybe the bulb was&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">dying?). Clear resin was chosen partly to be&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">able to cure thick layers as well as easthetic reasons. &nbsp;They were able to c<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">ure 1mm of resin about as quickly as&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">3.5mm. Layer thickness was chosen for speed &amp; cost considerations.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">The main idea was to build a large, networked object&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">within the intersecting workspheres of the&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">robots allowing the object to bifurcate and&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">merge with other neighboring stalactites. The second important idea is that the data was<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">&nbsp;accessible in real-time. &nbsp;They were able to&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">modify the 3d geometry as it was<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">&nbsp;printed as well as<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">&nbsp;the 2D&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">image of the sliced 3D geometry right before it was sent to the&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">projector. They were able to control layer thickness on the&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">fly and add perforations. &nbsp;Because of this, they foresee v<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; \">ery cool
