We know it’s true and the dorkShop<\/a> know it too thanks to the Intro to Design for 3D Printing at Parsons The New School of Design<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Arthur Young-Spivey, Caitlin Morris, Lisa Marks and Alvaro Soto introduced the context and concepts of 3D printing along with a beginners tutorial in 3D modeling for 3D printing in Rhino<\/a>.  The group ranged from artists, architects, jewelers and designers all interested in making their ideas a reality with 3D printing.  If you are interested in running a design for 3D printing class in your area get in touch<\/a> with us and we may be able to help spread the word. Any schools interested in getting access to 3D printing should subscribe to our 3D printing educational program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

dorkShops<\/a> are skill-sharing events of the nerd variety.
\ndorkShops are free and open to all. No experience required.<\/p>\n

dorkShops are run by students at Parsons The New School of Design<\/a>, specifically in the Design and Technology<\/a>
\n program. We all have unique talents and skill sets that we’d like to
\nshare with everyone. We want to introduce you to new things. We want to
\n share our creations with you. We’d like you to share your skills and
\ncreations with us.<\/p>\n

A wide variety of skill levels are in attendance at each event, but
\nwe expect most people to be beginners or need a lot of help. If you have
\n specific projects you need help with, bring them and we’ll try to help
\nanswer your questions. Some dorkShops will have advanced breakout
\nsessions depending on the demand.<\/p>\n
