This tutorial shows you how to make a "Add to Cart" button for any of your products. You can use this to add multiple products at the same time and set the material for each item too.
Currently, if you're linking to your product description page on Shapeways, you can actually use a link to put that product directly into the shopping cart.
Give it a try here:
Click to Add Product to Cart
Or, you can select the stainless steel version instead. Try this:
Click to Add Product to Cart
The url for the link looks like this:
http://www.shapeways.com/cart/addMultiple?model_id[]=302496See, just put the 6-digit model id for your product. You can find the model id from the url of your product page on Shapeways.
The url for this product is: www.shapeways.com/model/302496/skull_ring_us_6.html
So the model id is 302496
The product will be added to the shopping cart with the default material you set for your product.
To set the material, the link looks like this:
http://www.shapeways.com/cart/addMultiple?model_id[]=302496&material_id[]=23
Just put the number associated with the material you want.

That's basically it.
You can especially use this if you have a product that prints in multiple pieces, or if you want to make a drop down selector for size. You can use this to easily make your own custom shop page on your website that is powered by Shapeways.
We have an example shop page that demonstrates this.
It's a more advanced way to use the Shopping Cart. The drop down selectors are form elements, and it sends model_id, material_id, and/or count via GET or POST to http://www.shapeways.com/cart/addMultiple
You can download the code for the Example Shop in a zip:
Shapeways_example_shop.zip
Feel free to use the example however you like.
