Equally at home on a wizards shelf or an enchantress's vanity, this little treasure box has a life of its own! The front drawer actually locks, but not in the way you might think. Yes, it has a keyhole, but this is just a ruse.
Opening the front drawer is a puzzle involving a mechanism inside. Open the two small side drawers, and the front one will open!
At this size, it is suitable for small items of jewelry or tiny treasures and secret notes.
Please witness a suitable case for vewing species of the order Orthoptera (crickets, grasshoppers and the like). Two side-towers hold food and water respectively, while you examine your specimin, allowing them to rest for a day or two in the lap of luxury.
A "musette" is the smallest member of the shawm family. Shawms were the renaissance/early baroque version of the oboe. This musical instrument has been created to exacting dimensions to play in the key of F (like a sopranino recorder). It has been designed to use a standard oboe reed. The dimensions are taken from a historical model. The decoration, including the greenman face, twisted flutes, and turning, are my own addition.
