This coral-inspired model (with 3-fold rotational symmetry) was generated with a single mathematical expression using the implicit surfaces filter in MeshLab. Please check out all of the other implicit surfaces at vertigo polka.
Using just one mathematical expression, this labyrinthine implicit surface was generated and a shell (thickness) was added to the isosurface in MeshLab. Please check out all of the other implicit surfaces in my shop. implicit surfaces at vertigo polka

This model is solid. I also have two versions that have more "branches" and have been hollowed out. A small, thicker version called Implicit Tree Small, and a larger. thinner version called Implicit Tree 114mm.
This tree-like surface was generated with a single mathematical expression using the implicit surfaces filter in MeshLab, and a shell was added to the isosurface as well in MeshLab. A hole was added (subtracted?) at the bottom to reduce the overall volume.
I also have a larger version, slightly thinner in appearance, here: Implicit Tree 114mm.

For this candy dish, I used MeshLab's implicit surface filter to form and merge the simple, elegant curves of a hyperbolic paraboloid surface for the outside and an elliptic paraboloid surface for the inside.
This alien bit of tidewrack was discovered on the shore of the Ligeia Mare, one of the numerous methane seas of Titan, and has been weathered and eroded to the point that is impossible to determine its true origins.

I've transformed the enigmatic, amorphous central shape (created with a single mathematical expression using the implicit surface filter in MeshLab) into a sensuous pedestal that I use to display some of my favorite 3D prints.
