The Kongos were the oldest ships when Japan entered WW2; completed as battlecruisers in WW1. The lead ship (Kongo) was constructed in UK while the rest in Japan. The class was very active during WW2 though Hiei and Kirishima were sunk during the naval battles of Guadalcanal; Kongo by submarine torpedo late '44; and Haruna by air attacks while moored July 1945

Includes 16x single-wing, twin-floatplanes to represent Kawanishi E7K2 "Alf"

Shiratsuyu-class destroyers of the IJN, contains the following versions:
- 2x 1942: single 5" (X turret) present
- 3x 1944: X turret replaced with deckhouse and additional light AA platform forward of the bridge
Please note I used round bridges for both versions, vs the angular/hard-edged bridges the first 6 ships of the class had, but these were later refitted with the said bridge (around mid war/the time they lost their single 5"?)

Set of landing craft carriers/amphibious assault ships employed by the Japanese Army and Navy during WW2. From strarboard to port:
- Akitsu Maru [1944]; shorter and wider flight deck, with island structure further starboard (Nigitsu Maru never received these changes?)
- Akitsu Maru [1942]; also as Nigitsu Maru, AFAIK as completed conversions from passenger liners with flight decks, island structures inline with starboard beam
- Shinshu Maru [1942]**; purpose-built landing craft carrier; a.k.a. Ryujo Maru or Fuso Maru (development and construction was kept tight)
**forward main derrick arm is sprued underneath/within the hollow hull of the ship; also requires a short length of wire/plastic rod for the aft mainmast boom

Also includes 13x aircrafts to represent Kokusai Ki-76 aircrafts

*there will also be a set for IJN APA-style ships in due time

Yunagi was a Kamikaze-class destroyer (portside half) that acted as a screen for Mikawa's cruiser force during the Battle for Savo Island. These set of destroyers (along with the earlier Minekaze class) precedes the Fubuki class and can be characterized by the torp launchers abaft forecastle break and front of the bridge. The Mutsuki's design (starboard) were improved upon Kamikaze's; with the characteristic bow shape and 2x triple 24" torpedo launchers (vs. Kamikaze's 3x dual 21")
