Growing up on a sailboat in the Caribbean, BVI if you wanted something, you made it. or repurposed something, however most of the time you had to find a way to repair what you already had. So I grew up in this swirling cauldron of ideas. I lived on a James Wharram catamaran when I left home, I left on a 17ft, Raven, sailing dinghy. fitted out with a pup tent so that I could live on it. and while sourcing safety gear to take with me, a friend of a friend gave me an enormous bag of mixed-up glass beads. As I had just recently learned to wrap fossilized shark teeth, using Monel seizing wire, So that it wouldn't rust, or turn funny colors like copper, will when exposed to a salty environment. they said I could string the glass beads with the shark teeth and sell the necklaces to make some money, on my trip sailing down the eastern seaboard of the USA. as it was I made, many necklaces out of that bag of old glass beads. This was the start of, my love for creating jewelry for the next 20 years. Once in London, after returning to the UK, I decided to study (computer-aided design/manufacturing) and was admitted to Holts academy of jewelry. In London's prestigious Hatton garden Dimon district.
