Small Scale Shop

Designs by glehn
I provide scale models of airplanes, ships and sci-fi subjects. My main focus area are 1/144 scale models of aircraft used by the Brazilian Air Force but some other types are available as well. I have a full time job and I design my models during my spare time, so I can't promise a specific timeframe for new releases. But I really like feedback and suggestions for new models.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy my models!

2 x 1/144 AMX aircraft model
2 models of EMBRAER/Aermacchi AMX Aircraft. Assembly required.
The canopy will be printed in the same material as the other parts. If you want a really transparent canopy, I recommend using this part as a master for push-forming a new one.

The AMX aircraft:
The AMX is a ground-attack aircraft for battlefield interdiction, close air support and reconnaissance missions. It is built by AMX International, an Italian-Brazilian joint venture, and is designated the A-1 by the Brazilian Air Force.

The AMX is capable of operating at high subsonic speed and low altitude, by day or night, and if necessary, from bases with poorly equipped or damaged runways. Low IR signature and reduced radar equivalent cross-section help prevent detection, while low vulnerability of structure and systems aid survivability. Integrated ECM, air-to-air missiles and nose-mounted guns provide self-defence capabilities.

In 1977, the Italian Air Force issued a requirement for a strike fighter to replace its Aeritalia G.91 and some of its F-104 Starfighters. Rather than competing for the contract, Aeritalia (now Alenia Aeronautica) and Aermacchi agreed to make a joint proposal, as both firms had been considering the development of a similar class of aircraft for some years. Aermacchi, for example, had worked on a design study for a light ground attack aircraft, designated MB-340, in the early 1970s. Development work began in April 1978.

In July 1981, the Italian and Brazilian governments agreed on joint requirements for the aircraft, and Embraer was invited to join the partnership.

The first prototype flew on 15 May 1984. Although it was lost on its fifth flight (killing its pilot),[ the test programme progressed reasonably smoothly otherwise. Production started by mid-1986, with the first examples delivered to the Italian and Brazilian air forces in 1989. Since then, some 200 AMXs have been built.

Italian AMX squadrons flew 252 combat sorties over Kosovo as part of Operation Allied Force, without a single loss.

This was just an exercise on modeling with Autodesk 123d. Trying to make some more complex shapes with it.

1/144 scale model of the Aermacchi MB-326 Aircraftt.
This is an improved version of my previous model, which includes a more accurate fuselage and air intakes.

It includes the canopy, but it will be printed in the same material as the body. I recommend using this canopy as a master for push-forming your own using a transparent material

Painting and decal guides are available here.

The Aermacchi or Macchi MB-326 was a light military jet aircraft designed in Italy. Originally conceived as a two-seat trainer, there were also single and two-seat light attack versions. It was one of the most commercially successful aircraft of its type, being bought by more than ten countries and produced under licence in Australia, Brazil and South Africa. It set many category records, including an altitude record of 56,807 ft (17,315 m) on March 18, 1966. More than 600 were built.
